The aim of the CVS is to give children of all ages the ability to read music, and then enable them to discover the joys of singing, whether in a choir, small group, quartet, duo or as a soloist. The recent growth in popularity of Musical Theatre, the songs of which are now included in the examinations of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, London, has made this a wonderful era for all young singers. It is now ‘cool’ for both boys and girls to sing, and armed with their certificates, they are well equipped to enter the world of musical entertainment in Switzerland, the UK and the USA.
